I Helped Children using Internet

We live in the world of modern technologies. Every year more and more technical inventions appear in our life, making it more comfortable and diverse. Today we can’t imagine us without computers, mobile phones and gadgets that became habitual things for us. We appreciated very quickly the advantages of technical innovations. A new generation takes it as something usual. But we use it only for our own purposes.

Today people worry only about their own life, forgetting, that except their relatives, friends and close people there are also others, who need their help too. Nobody must forget that we should help the people who live next to us. Everybody dreams about the world without wars, famine, poverty, suffers and tears. We want to see the world where people smile and are happy.

Something should be done for it. I’m sure if everyone tries to make any efforts, the world become better.

 Innovative technologies can do our life not only more convenient and pleasant. We can use them with great benefit for all people. I know some examples which impressed me very much.

Thousands of people were saved with the help of mobile phone and Internet. A young student came from Europe to the remote town in one of the developing countries. There was only a local radio and some TV sets in rich houses. People even didn’t know anything about Internet. The young man had a notebook and a mobile phone. One day he saw a message in Internet. It predicted a heavy storm in that region. He connected with the local radio and warned them about the disaster. The people prepared all to meet the disaster. Many of them even were evacuated from that place. And it was a narrow escape, the storm was really terrible. As a result, there weren’t any seriously damages after the storm and a lot of people were saved.

TV, radio and Internet carry out a great work connected with moral support of the people who use alcohol, drugs and have different diseases. These projects reduce the level of death among them

Once I was watching TV. There were a lot of entertaining shows but my attention was attracted by a documentary film. It was about children’s homes and hospitals. It was hard for me to look at these poor orphans, they associated with my little brother who was only one year old. Of course, I knew about the existence of such homes, that not all children are happy and healthy. But when I saw it my eyes, I understood how terrible their life was. I often thought about these poor children. It was clear for me that I should do something in order to help them. I advised with my friends and they supported me.

We made up our mind to help such children and went to the local children’s home. Our idea was to show little kids to millions of people with hope that somebody would adopt some of them. It’s well-known that there are many people who can’t have their own children but they dream about it. We prepared a special report about this children’s home and placed the photos of the children in Internet. I think it was a good push for those who couldn’t decide to go to the children’s home. And we did a good work. Later I learnt that a lot of people applied to them. Of course, I understood that it wouldn’t be very quickly, but I was very happy that something would change in their fate. I hope some of them would find a family. I knew that not all the children would be adopted, that’s why I decided to help other children too.

Some of my friends could draw very well. I even finished an Art School. So we decided to use our talent. We worked hard and it wasn’t easy because we had to show our works to the millions of people using Internet. We decided to sell our pictures there. When our work was ready we asked our computer teacher to place our drawings in Internet. His help was very necessary for us.

Some time passed and we got information that our drawings were bought. It was the greatest day in my life. I was glad to help the little kids, to present them smile and hope to be happy. The sum was not big, but it was my first charitable contribution. We bought some medicine for the hospital and toys for the kids of the children’s home.

 I hope it wasn’t my last help to people. There are so much poor people in the world and we can use all advantages of our nowadays` life to do something good for them. It would make us more kind.

Thanks to Internet my dream came true. I saw happy eyes of unfortunate children.
