The Club of Budapest
The Club of Budapest
An informal association of globally and locally active opinion leaders in fields of art, science, religion, and culture. Founded in 1993 by Ervin Laszlo, it is dedicated to the evolution of values, ethics and consciousness in the interest of a better future for the planet. Its more than 50 honorary members include 7 Nobel Peace laureates.

A global think tank and center of innovation and initiative. As a non-profit, non governmental organization, it brings together scientists, economists, businessmen, international high civil servants, and present and former heads of state from around the world to contribute to the solution of the "world problematique." Its report "The Limits to Growth" published in 1972 produced a worldwide impact.

The Future 500
A nonprofit, global network of leadership companies and groups whose mission is to apply principles of nature to improve the performance and sustainability of business. Founded in the United States in 1995, the organization launched its activities in Japan in 1999. Its annual international symposia have introduced new concepts into Japan such as the Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI) and LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability).

A non-governmental organization founded by Mikhail Gorbachev in 1992 in the post-Soviet Russia. Its mission is to provide in-depth analysis of the evolving social, economic and political situation not only in Russia but also in the world, and to help assert democratic values and moral, humanistic principles in the way of life of societies. The overall motto of the foundation is "Toward a New Civilization."

World Wisdom Council
An informal council convened by the Club of Budapest. The group consisting of experts from various fields and cultures meets regularly to identify both the dangers and the opportunities inherent in the human condition in its global dimension, and to recommend actions to bring about constructive change toward sustainability and peace.
