Remembering Our Beloved Friend, Dr. Ervin Laszlo

Dr. Ervin Laszlo

It is with profound sadness that we heard the news of the passing of Dr. Ervin Laszlo on June 29th.

Since he was honored with the Goi Peace Award in 2001, we have had the great privilege of enjoying a close friendship with Ervin for over a quarter of a century. Throughout these years, we worked together on numerous projects, and it was a true honor to co-found the Fuji Declaration alongside him.

We hold dear the wonderful memories of the time we spent together, especially the warm hospitality Ervin and his dear wife extended to us at their home in Tuscany. Those moments of conversation and laughter are memories we will cherish forever.

We have the utmost respect for Ervin’s lifelong dedication and his monumental contributions to world peace and the evolution of humanity. His vision and wisdom have profoundly touched the lives of so many, including our own.

While we mourn his loss, we pray for his soul to find eternal peace. We hope that from the spiritual realm, he will continue to guide and inspire us as we carry forward the work he pioneered.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family and colleagues.

With deepest sympathy and gratitude,

Masami and Hiroo Saionji
