International Essay Contest for Young People
RESULTS
We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 International Essay Contest for Young People.
This year the Essay Contest was held under the theme “My Experience of Overcoming Conflict.” From among 15,744 entries (Children’s category: 5,511 / Youth category: 10,233) from 152 countries, the following winners were selected. We take this opportunity to thank all of you who participated in the contest!
Each first prize winner will receive a certificate of commendation from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, and a gift. Certificates and gifts for other prizes will be mailed to the winners in January 2025.

Conflicts occur for a variety of reasons, including differences in opinions and values. Have you ever had an experience of overcoming a conflict that you were involved in? What did you learn from that experience? How do you want to make use of what you learned, for your own life and for society?
